There are seven methods to shrink jeans: warm water soaking, boiling water, high-temperature drying, hot ironing, salt water soaking, cold water soaking, and machine washing.
Warm Water Soaking
: Soak your jeans in warm water for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then machine wash.
Boiling Water Soaking
: Place your jeans in a large pot of boiling water. Keep boiling for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
High-Temperature Drying
:Place your jeans in a dryer and use the high-temperature setting. The high temperature will cause the fibers to shrink, thus reducing the size of the jeans.
Hot Ironing
Use an iron to heat and iron the cuffs and waistband of your jeans. Maintain a certain level of humidity while ironing; you can spray some steam onto the fabric. Hot ironing can rearrange the fibers, achieving a shrinkage effect. Saltwater Soaking Method: You can soak your jeans in salt water at 40-50 degrees Celsius for 1-2 hours. The water temperature can be adjusted according to the size of the jeans. After soaking, remove the jeans and let them air dry in a cool, shady place. The drying time depends on the degree of shrinkage of the jeans.
Cold Water Soaking Method: You can put your jeans directly into a washing machine and wash them for 15 minutes. After washing, rinse them thoroughly with clean water. Do not wring out the water by hand. Instead, turn the jeans inside out and place them in the sun to dry.
